Giro delle Dolomiti @Bolzano
From 24.07.2016- 31.07.2016 took place the 40th Giro delle Dolomiti in Bolzano. The Team Alpecin was part of it and I was there to support the team on a moto bike. The Giro is a nice 7 stage race that starts every day at the fiera in Bolzano. The races always starts out in a neutralized peloton until they get to the special climbing time section that ranges from 6 to 28 km. Now the "Race" starts for everybody. After the mountain arrival the riders have a rest, get food and are grouped back to the start/ finish. The well planned routes showed us to the beautiful and amazing mountains and landscape around Bolzano. One of the highlights of the Giro was definitely the tour to the Stelvio with its 2760 hm and 48 bends. The organization and the stuff of the Giro have done a great job. Without any stress und always with a winking eye the team of the Giro supported us. And by the way, the food was delicious. Who wants to enjoy the landscapes around, find bike enthusiasts, have fun on the bike, wants to collect height meter without stress and find a familiar atmosphere is perfectly in good hands at the Giro delle Dolomiti..;-)
Conclusion: We will definitely come back next year...:-).
