Lage und Anreise / Location and arrival
Das Kempinski liegt direkt am Bosporus zwischen dem Stadtteil Besiktas und Örtakoy. Vom Flughafen Atatürk zum Kempinski fährt man mit dem Taxi ca. 1 Stunde, wenn der Verkehr es gut mit einem meint. Mit der Metro fährt man bis zur Endstation Yenikapi und dann mit dem Taxi zum Hotel. Hier ist man ca. 1,5 Stunden unterwegs. Das Hotel ist fußläufig zum Hafen von Besiktas gelegen. Von dort aus erreicht man mit dem Schiff oder dem Bus jeden beliebigen Stadtteil in Istanbul. Auch die "Fußgängerzone" mit seinen bunten Marktständen, den kleinen Lädchen und Cafè's ist zu Fuß vom Hotel erreichbar.
The Kempinski is located directly at the Bosphorus between the district Besiktas and Örtakoy. From the Ataturk airport to the Kempinski you can take a taxi for about 1 hour, if you are not travelling during the rush hours. By metro you drive to the station Yenikapi and then take a 20 minutes drive with taxi to the hotel. It takes you about 1.5 hours.
The hotel is located within walking distance to the port of Besiktas. From there you can reach any part of the city in Istanbul by boat or bus. The "pedestrian zone" with its colorful market stalls, small shops and cafes is also within walking distance from the hotel.

Esgibt einen alten und einen neuen Hotelflügel die mitdem Ciragan Palast verbunden sind. Das Hotel gehört zur Vereinigung The Leading Hotels of the World. 2007 wurde das Palast-Hotel erneut restauriert und erstrahlt seitdem in altem Glanz und ist eine perfekte Kombination aus Tradition, Geschichte und luxuriösem Komfort mit hohen Standards.
Zu dem Hotel gehören 4 Restaurants und Bars, Boutiquen, ein Wellnessbereich mit Fitness-Center, ein beheizter Outdoor-Infinitypool, ein Innenpool, Hamam und Sauna.

In gemütlicher Atmosphäre kann man sein Frühstück mit Blick auf den Palmgarten und den Bosporus genießen. Das Frühstück kann man täglich von 06:30 Uhr bis 11:00 genießen. Es werden unglaubliche 250 köstliche Speisen angeboten, wobei 80 % davon aus biologischem Anbau stammen.

The Laledan restaurant is probably the best and richest breakfast buffet I have ever seen. All your breakfast wishes come true. In a cozy atmosphere you can enjoy your breakfast overlooking the Palm Garden and the Bosphorus. Breakfast is served daily from 06:30 to 11:00. Unbelievable 250 delicious meals are offered, 80% of which are organically grown.
Ein weiteres Highlight und DAS osmanische Dinner-Erlebnis schlechthin ist das Tuğra Restaurant im ersten Stock des Çırağan Palace. Das wohl exklusivste und romantischste Speiserestaurant in Istanbul. Schon wenn man den prunkvollen Palast betritt fühlt man sich wie in einer anderen Welt. Im Restaurant erwarten einen riesige festliche omanische Wandmalereien und der Blick auf den Bosporus. Große, festlich gedeckte Tische mit eigens für das Tugra designtem edlen Geschirr und Besteck runden den Eindruck ab.
Bei warmen Temperaturen und wenn man es romantisch mag sollte man unbedingt einen Tisch auf dem Balkon reservieren und bei Mond- und Kerzenschein mit Blick auf die Brücke über den Bosporus dinieren.
Klassische osmanische Rezepte und Spezialität des Hauses ist das "Lamm-Külbastı“, das "Testi Kebab“ oder der osmanische Vorspeisenteller die Sie in die Zeit der Sultane zurückversetzt. Auch die Präsentation der Speisen mit silbernen reich verzierten Gloschen im osmanischen Stil versetzt einen in die Vergangenheit. Die vorzüglichen Nachspeisen runden das unbeschreibliche Dinner ab, wenn nach diesem üppigen Festmahl noch Platz dafür ist. Zum abschließenden Kaffee werden feinste Pralinen gereicht.

Another highlight and the Ottoman dining experience par excellence is the Tuğra Restaurant on the first floor of Çırağan Palace. Probably the most exclusive and romantic dining restaurant in Istanbul. As soon as you enter the magnificent palace you feel like in another world. The restaurant has huge festive Ottoman wall paintings and the view to the Bosphorus. Large, festively set tables with for the Tugra specially designed fine crockery and cutlery complete this impression. When it is warm outside and if you like it romantic you should definitely reserve a table at the balcony of the Tugra and dine with moon and candlelight overlooking the Bosphorus. Classic Ottoman recipes and signature meal of the house is the "Lamb-Külbastı", the "Testi Kebab" or the Ottoman appetizer plate that takes you back to the time of the sultans. Even the presentation of the food with silver richly decorated cloches in the Ottoman style takes you back to that time. The exquisite desserts complete the incredible dinner, when there is still room for it after this sumptuous meal. For the final coffee, the finest chocolates are served.
