El Gouna - Lagunenstadt und Kiteoase mit internationalem Flair
El Gouna - für mich war das bisher immer eine "Retortenstadt" aus Hotels irgendwo in der Wüste in Ägypten. Aber es ist soviel mehr. Lest selbst, wie spannend mein Aufenthalt dort war, was ich alles erlebt habe und was man sich unbedingt anschauen sollte.
El Gouna - for me it has always been a kind of a "retort city" of hotels somewhere in the desert of Egypt. But it is so much more. Read how exciting my stay was, what I have experienced and what you should definitely visit.
"El Gouna - A town like no other"
El Gouna ist eine kleine wunderschöne Lagunenstadt am Roten Meer - eigentlich ist es keine Stadt sondern ein Ferien-Resort, dass vor 30 Jahren von Samih Sawiris ins Leben gerufen wurde. Die 36,8 Quadratkilometer große Anlage ist ein Vorzeigeprojekt der Orascom-Gruppe und eine kleine Oase inmitten der ägyptischen Wüste. Die Anlage besteht aus 18 Hotels, zwei Golfplätzen, Bars, Restaurants, Kitesurfen-Stränden und sogar einer Cable-Anlage zum Wakeboarden. Eine Mischung aus traditionellem nubischen Stil, moderner Architektur, italienischem Charme und internationalem Flair macht El Gouna irgendwie besonders. So hätte ich das absolut nicht erwartet und bin echt hin und weg. Es gibt nichts was es nicht gibt in El Gouna..:-). Sogar eine Hochschule - Partneruniversität der TU Berlin - gibt es in El Gouna und ein internationales Filmfestival.
El Gouna is a small beautiful lagoon city at the Red Sea - actually it is not a city but a holiday resort that was founded 30 years ago by Samih Sawiris. The 4.8 x 1.8 square kilometer area is a flagship project of the Orascom Group and a small oasis in the middle of the Egyptian desert. The complex consists of 18 hotels, two golf courses, bars, restaurants, beautiful kite surfing beaches and even a cable park for wakeboarding. A mixture of traditional Nubian style, modern architecture, Italian charm and international flair makes El Gouna somehow special. So I dIdn't expect that and I'm really blown away. Everything you could wish for. There is even a university (partner university of the TU Berlin) in El Gouna and a international film festival.
LAGE UND ANREISE
In etwas mehr als 4 Stunden geht es per Direktflug von München nach Hurghada. Flüge gibt es je schon um die €200 wenn man ein wenig sucht und Glück hat....;-). Meinen Flug hab ich direkt über Condor gefunden. Kitegepäck kostet bei Condor €59,99 pro Strecke und mit 30 kg kann man ordentlich was einpacken...;-).
In just a bit more than 4 hours there is a direct flight from Munich to Hurghada. Flights are around € 200. I found my flight directly via Condor. Kite luggage costs € 59.99 extra each way and with 30 kg you can pack a lot of kite gear ..;-)

In Hurghada angekommen sind es ca. 40 Autominuten bis El Gouna. Bei einer Pauschalreise ist der Transfer zum Hotel immer inklusive. Wer seine Reise allein zusammenstellt fragt am besten beim Hotel nach einem Transfer. Die meisten Hotels bieten diesen Service an. Wer vorab nichts gebucht hat, kann sich direkt am Flughafen ein Taxi mieten. Der Transfer kostet um die 150 - 200 ägyptische Pfund und sollte mit dem Fahrer vorab vereinbart werden.
Arrived in Hurghada it is a about 40 minutes drive to El Gouna. If you booked a all inclusive vacation tour, the transfer to the hotel is always included. If you arranged your trip alone, it is best to ask the hotel for a transfer. Most hotels offer this service. If you have not booked anything in advance, you can hire a taxi directly from the airport. The transfer costs around 150-200 Egyptian pounds and should be arranged with the taxi driver in advance.

ist man in einer anderen Welt.....
Man fährt aus Hurghada raus, durch die Vororte und irgendwann mitten durch die Wüste. Und plötzlich mitten im Nichts - es gibt hier nur eine Straße - passieren wir ein bewachtes "Tor" - der Eingang zur Lagunenstadt El Gouna. Ein paar Minuten geht es dann noch in der Wüste entlang und dann beginnt plötzlich das wahre El Gouna - Palmen, Straßen, Beleuchtung, Hotels - eine andere Welt. Kuschelig, gemütlich, wuselig, Kleinstadtfeeling und doch international - eine Oase mit 10 km Strand direkt am Roten Meer.
Leaving Hurghada you drive through the suburbs and through the desert. And suddenly in the middle of nowhere - there is only one street - we pass a guarded "gate" - the entrance to the lagoon city of El Gouna. Then, for a few minutes, we continue driving through the desert and then suddenly the "real" El Gouna begins - palm trees, roads, lighting, hotels - another world. Cozy, bustling, small town feeling and international - an oasis with 10 km of beach right at the Red Sea.
LABRANDA CLUB PARADISO
Es gibt so viele wundervolle Hotels in El Gouna und für jeden ist mit Sicherheit das passende Hotel dabei. Ziel meiner Reise nach El Gouna war der Labranda Club Paradiso. Warum? Weil es direkt am Strand liegt uuuund direkt am Strand die Osmosis Kiteboarding Kitestation zu finden ist. So kann man vom Balkon aus schon sehen kann, ob ein guter Wind geht .;-). Und natürlich, weil mir die Anlage und das All Inclusive Angebot gefallen hat ...:-).
There are so many wonderful hotels in El Gouna and for sure there is the right hotel for everyone. The destination of my trip to El Gouna was the Labranda Club Paradiso. Why? Because it is right on the beach and there is also the Osmosis Kiteboarding station. So you can already see from the balcony, if there is a good wind .. ;-). And of course, because I liked the resort and the all inclusive offer ... :-).
Der LABRANDA Club Paradisio ist mit seinen 239 Zimmern, Club Zimmern, Junior Suiten, Suiten und der extra großen Paradise Suite eines der größeren Hotels in El Gouna und umgeben von einer riesigen wunderschönen Gartenanlage mit Palmen und Blumen. Nur 100 Meter entfernt ist der Golfclub von El Gouna mit seinem 18 Loch Golfplatz gelegen. Im Haupthaus mit seiner großen und dennoch gemütlichen Eingangshalle ist die Rezeption gelegen, wo das sehr freundliche Personal alle Wünsche der Gäste erfüllt ..:-). Das Resort verfügt über verschiedene Häuser mit mehreren Etagen - Pool-, Garten-, oder Meerblick inklusive. WLAN ist im ganzen Club vorhanden, die Verbindung ist ziemlich gut und auch im Zimmer ist der Empfang sehr brauchbar...;-).
Natürlich muss man auch den freundlichen Service, die unzähligen Unterhaltungsmöglichkeiten und den Komfort des Resorts erwähnen. Der LABRANDA Club Paradiso El Gouna ( --> hier buchen) ist eine ideales Hotel für Kitesurfer und Sportler. Aber es ist auch ein Rückzugsort für Familien und ein wunderbarer Ort für Paare, um sich am Meer verwöhnen zu lassen.
The LABRANDA Club Paradisio, with its 239 rooms, club rooms, junior suites, suites and the extra large Paradise Suite, is one of the larger hotels in El Gouna and is surrounded by a huge, beautiful garden with palm trees and flowers. Just 100 meters away is the Golf Club of El Gouna with its 18 hole golf course. But it is also a retreat for families, as well as a wonderful place for couples to be pampered by the sea.
ZIMMER - ROOMS
Unser Superior Zimmer im Labranda Club Paradiso befand sich im dritten Stock seitlich der Rezeption mit Blick auf den Pool und mit Blick auf das Meer - was will man mehr ...;-). Das sehr gemütlich eingerichtete Doppelzimmer (ca. 21 qm) bot alles, was das Herz begehrt - großes Doppelbett, Sitzecke, möblierter Balkon, Dusche/WC, Föhn, Telefon, Safe, LCD-Sat.-TV, Minibar, Klimaanlage und einen Kaffe-/Teezubereiter. Bademantel und Slipper für jeden hingen ebenfalls im Badezimmer bereit. Die tägliche Auffüllung der Wasserflaschen war inklusive.
Our superior room in the Labranda Club Paradiso was on the third floor near to the reception overlooking the pool and overlooking the sea - nothing better than that..:-) The very comfortably furnished double room (about 21 square meters) offered everything your heart desires - large double bed, sitting area, furnished balcony, shower / WC, hairdryer, telephone, safe, LCD satellite TV, minibar, air conditioning and a coffee - / tea maker. Bathrobes and slippers for everyone were also available in the bathroom. The daily replenishment of the water bottles was included.
GASTRONOMIE - GASTRONOMY
Genauso wichtig wie das Zimmer im Urlaub ist natürlich das Essen und das ist im Club hervorragend. Ich hab in Ägypten schon andere Erfahrungen gemacht und vorsorglich Tabletten eingepackt - man weis ja nie. Aber die habe ich im Labranda Club Paradiso kein einziges Mal gebraucht. ,,;-).
Just as important as the room on vacation is of course the food and that is excellent at the club. Honestly, I've had other experiences in Egypt and took precautionary tablets with me - you never know. But I did not need them in the Labranda Club Paradiso... ;-).
Im Hauptrestaurant Marco Polo wird Frühstück, Mittag und Dinner in Buffet-Form serviert. Es gibt eine täglich wechselnde Auswahl an kulinarischen Köstlichkeiten und unterschiedliche Themen zum Abendessen.
The main restaurant Marco Polo serves breakfast, lunch and dinner in buffet style. There is a daily changing selection of culinary delights and different themes for dinner.
....seafood dinner with a view
Im Morgan's Bistro direkt am Strand gelegen gibt es mittags zusätzlich frische Pasta und Pizza - Meerblick inklusive.
Dienstag und Donnerstag Abend wird es romantisch und man kann ein Seafood Dinner oder Grillabend beim Sonnenuntergang und Sternenhimmel im Morgan's Bistro für kleines Geld ( €20-25 ) dazu buchen. Ich kann es übrigens nur empfehlen.
Located in the Morgan's Bistro right on the beach, there is served fresh pasta and pizza for lunch - sea view included. Tuesday and Thursday evening it gets romantic and you can book a seafood dinner or barbecue with sunset in the Morgan's Bistro for little money (€ 20-25). I can highly recommend it.
Neben den Restaurant gibt es noch die Lobby- und die Poolbar, wo man Soft Drinks, Cocktails, Tee, Kaffee, Bier, Wein, lokale Spezialitäten und kleine Snacks genießen kann.
Also wie man sieht, für das Kulinarische ist zu jeder Tageszeit gesorgt und die Auswahl ist riesig. Wem das noch nicht reicht, der kann beim sogenannten Dinearound auswärts in anderen Hotels essen gehen - dazu später mehr.
In addition to the restaurant, there is a lobby and a pool bar, where you can enjoy soft drinks, cocktails, tea, coffee, beer, wine, local specialties and small snacks. So as you can see, the food is catered for any time of the day and the selection is huge. If that's not enough, you can as well visit other hotels for dinner in the so-called Dinearound - more on that later.
SPORT UND UNTERHALTUNG - SPORTS AND ENTERTAINMENT
Wer wie ich meist sportlich unterwegs ist, der ist im Labranda Club Paradiso gut aufgehoben. Neben einem gut ausgestatteten Fitnessraum gib es 2 Tennisplätze, Squash, Tischtennis, Beach-Volleyball, Billard, Boccia, Darts, Bogenschießen und Gymnastik. Diese Angebote sind im Club alle inklusive und das Animateur-Team begleitet die Gäste bei verschiedensten Aktivitäten durch den Tag. An insgesamt 3 Ewachsenen-Pools und einem Kinderschwimmbecken oder direkt am privaten Strand kann man wunderbar relaxen.
Those who are more active like me ..;-). will love it at the Labranda Club Paradiso. In addition to a well-equipped gym, there are 2 tennis courts, squash, table tennis, beach volleyball, billiards, boccia, darts, archery and gymnastics. These offers are all inclusive in the club and the entertainment team accompanies the guests through various activities throughout the day. There are in total 3 pools and a children's pool and the private beach - perfect places to relax.
Wer abends noch nicht müde ist, der kann bei der täglichen Abendunterhaltung den Tag ausklingen lassen - Tanzshows, Livemusik oder Spieleabende - für jeden ist etwas dabei. Und wer keine Lust auf Bespassung hat, der kann in der Lobbybar oder auf der Terrasse seinen Cocktail genießen.
If you are not tired in the evening, you can join the daily evening entertainment - dance shows, live music or games - there is something for everyone. And if you just want to relax, you can enjoy your cocktail in the lobby bar or on the terrace.

Was wäre ein Urlaub ohne eine Massage .:-) Das Planet Spa direkt im Labranda Club Paradiso ist eine kleine Oase der Entspannung - Ein eigener kleiner Pool, ein Saunabereich und ein vielfältiges Massage-Angebot mit besonderen selbst hergestellten Ölen runden das Angebot ab. Die orientalische Massage die ich bekommen habe war göttlich und habe ich in vollsten Zügen genossen. Wer die Sauna benutzen möchte, sollte darauf achten, anders als in Deutschland, dies immer in Badebekleidung zu tun.
What would a holiday be without a massage? :-) The Planet Spa right in the Labranda Club Paradiso is a little oasis of relaxation - there is a small pool, a sauna area and a variety of massages with special home-made oils complete the offer. The oriental massage I received was divine and I enjoyed it to the fullest. If you want to use the sauna, you should pay attention, unlike in Germany, always wearing swimwear.
KITESURFEN - KITESTATION OSMOSIS KITEBOARDING
El Gouna ist DAS Kitesurf Mekka in Ägypten und gerade für Anfänger ein idealer Spot aufgrund der großen Stehbereiche und des warmen Wassers. Die Osmosis Kiteboarding Station in El Gouna ist direkt am Strand vom Labranda Club Paradiso gelegen.
El Gouna is THE Kitesurfing Mecca in Egypt and especially for beginners an ideal spot due to the large flat water areas and the warm water. The Osmosis Kiteboarding Station at El Gouna is located on the beachfront of Labranda Club Paradiso.
Wer Kitesurfen lernen und einen Kurs buchen will, der ist hier genau richtig. Denn der Spot hat eine vorgelagerte Sandbank ( psssst Geheimtipp ..;-).....) mit knietiefem kristallklarem Wasser - einfach perfekt für Anfänger, die noch keine Höhe halten können und alle die es lernen wollen. Die Crew fährt zweimal täglich mit dem Boot raus - morgens um 9 Uhr und nachmittags gegen 14 Uhr. Wer dabei sein will, der bucht sich am besten am Vortag einen Platz im Boot und schon hat man das Ticket ins Kitesurf-Paradis .....:-). Alle anderen können direkt vom Strand aus starten und wieder "landen" - die Crew der Kitestation ist hier jederzeit bereit und hilft.
If you want to learn kitesurfing and book a course, then this is the place to be. Because the spot has an upstream sandbank (psssst insider tip ..; -) .....) with knee-deep crystal clear water - just perfect for beginners who can not hold any height and all who want to learn it. The crew leaves twice a day by boat - in the morning at 9 o'clock and in the afternoon around 2 pm. If you want to join, you can book a seat in the boat the day before and you have the ticket to kitesurf paradise ..... :-). All others can start directly from the beach - the crew of the kite station is always ready and helps.
...ein Spot mit Geheimtipp
Wer sein eigenes Kitematerial mitbringt, kann in der Station Storage buchen und alle Annehmlichkeiten wie den Kompressor, Rescue, Wasch- und Trocknungsmöglichkeiten der Station nutzen. Wer Material leihen möchte, der hat eine breite Auswahl an Cabrinha-Kites und Boards. Es gibt nichts, was es nicht gibt ....:-).
If you bring your own kite material, you can book storage and use all the comforts of the station, such as the compressor, rescue, washing and drying facilities. If you want to borrow material, you have a wide selection of Cabrinha kites and boards. There is nothing that does not exist .... :-).
Das Chill-Area lädt wie der Name schon sagt zum Chillen ein ..hahahahaha ... ich hab mich echt wohl gefühlt. Neben dem super Service und dem tollen Material ist die Crew natürlich super cool und freundlich. DANKE für die tolle Zeit - HANG LOOSE.

Neben der Osmosis Station im Labranda Club Paradiso gibt es an den Stränden von El Gouna noch einige andere coole Spots und Kiteschulen. Die konnte ich aufgrund des Zeitmangels nicht alle besuchen ( noch ein grund, dass ich El Gouna nochmal besuchen muss ..;-)...). Während einer Tuk Tuk Tour sind wir an der KBC Station am Buzzha Beach vorbeigefahren und haben kurz mal reingeschaut. Die große relativ neue Station bietet alle möglichen Packages an und kommt einladend chillig daher. Der Strand ist riesig, weitläufig und irgendwie wild - ich kam mit eher vor wie in der Südsee, nicht in Ägypten ...:-). Sehr cool und werd ich bei meinem nächsten Besuch gerne nochmal besuchen. Ein Hotel direkt an der Station gibt es hier nicht, aber mit dem Tuk Tuk kann man sich in wenigen Minuten zur Station fahren lassen.
In addition to the Osmosis station in the Labranda Club Paradiso, there are some other cool spots and kite schools on the beaches of El Gouna. I could not visit all because of the lack of time (another reason that I have to visit El Gouna again ..; -) ...). During a tuk tuk tour we visit the KBC station on Buzzha Beach and had a quick look. The large relatively new station offers all kinds of packages and looks really cool. The beach is huge, spacious and a kind of wild - I felt more like in the South Seas, not in Egypt ... :-). Very cool and I will definitely visit this place again. There is no hotel directly at the station, but with the Tuk Tuk you can drive in a few minutes to the station.
AKTIVITÄTEN - ACTIVITIES
Die Aktivitäten, die in El Gouna angeboten werden sind schier endlos. Und die Zeit hat bei Weitem nicht ausgereicht, um alles auszuprobieren, zu was ich Lust gehabt hätte. Ich musste ja auch ab und zu mal schlafen...;-). Hier eine Liste von Aktivitäten, die man unbedingt mal ausprobieren sollte.
The activities offered in El Gouna are endless. And time was far from enough to try everything I wanted. I also had to sleep from time to time ... ;-). Here is a list of activities that you should definitely try.
LAGUNENTOUR - LAGOON TOUR
Ein absolutes MUSS ist natürlich die Lagunentour in der Lagunenstadt El Gouna ..:-). Mehrmals täglich fahren Boote von verschiedenen Hotels los und in einer ca. 1-stündigen Tour kann man El Gouna mit seinen luxuriösen Hotels, Stränden und der wunderschönen Marina mit seinen Yachten vom Wasser aus bestaunen. Die Abfahrtspläne hängen meistens in den Hotels aus. Eine Haltestelle für die Tour ist direkt an der Wasserstraße gegenüber des Clubs stationiert, den man in einer Gehminute erreicht. Die Tour kostet 100 ägyptische Pfund und ist es absolut wert.
An absolute MUST is the lagoon tour in the lagoon city El Gouna .. :-). Several times a day boats depart from various hotels and in about an hour's drive you can explore El Gouna from the water with its luxurious hotels, beaches and the beautiful marina with its yachts. The departure schedules you find at the hotels. One departure for the tour is directly at the club, which can be reached in a minute's walk. The tour costs 100 Egyptian pounds and is absolutely worth it.
DOWNTOWN ZU FUSS ERKUNDEN - EXPLORE DOWNTOWN
Man kann direkt vom Club Paradiso zu Fuß über den Golfplatz Richtung Downtown gehen und ist in nur 10 Gehminuten mitten im Geschehen. Auf dem Weg durch den Golfplatz sticht einem sofort mit Sicherheit das "Turtle House" ins Auge - ein deutsches Architektenhaus im Schildkrötenstil ....;-). In Downtown angekommen warten leine Bars, Café's und Geschäfte darauf, entdeckt zu werden. Eine Apotheke ist natürlich auch vorhanden. Zu Fuß gibt es so viel zu entdecken in El Gouna und man kann einen wunderschönen Eindruck von den verschiedenen Hotels in El Gouna erhaschen.
In just 10 minutes you can walk directly from the Club Paradiso through the golf course iand you reach downtown. On the way through the golf course you immediately notice the "Turtle House" - a German architect's house in turtle style .... ;-). Arrived in Downtown, bars, cafes and shops wait to be discovered. Of course, a pharmacy is also available. There is so much to explore in El Gouna and you can get a wonderful different impression of El Gouna.
PRIVATE TOK TOK - TOUR
Ein absoluter Geheimtipp ist die private TOK TOK TOUR, die wir gemacht haben - ein Tipp von der Guest Relationship Managerin des Labranda Club Paradiso. Danke dafür nochmal...;-).

Sie hat uns einen tollen TOK TOK Fahrer empfohlen, der 5 Minuten später vor der Tür stand und schon ging es los. Aus einer Stunde wurden dann doch drei, weil es einfach ne mega Tour war. Man lernt hier geheime Plätze von El Gouna kennen, wo man nicht einfach mal so hinkommt.
She recommended us a great TOK TOK driver, who was 5 minutes later at the door - perfect. First we booked a 1 hour tour but extended it to 3 hours because it was just so cool.. We get to know special and secret places of El Gouna - it is not so easy to get there.
...geheime Plätze mit dem TOK TOK erkunden
Vom Club ging es bis zur Marina, zu den verschiedenen Stränden Zeytona Beach, Buzzha Beach, Mangroovy Beach bishin zum neuen 6-Sterne Hotel La Maison Bleu. Vorbei an der Uni in El Gouna, zum Ancient Sands Golf Resort, in ein einheimisches Café im "Hinterland" und zuletzt wieder zurück zum Club. Pro Stunde zahlt man 150 ägyptische Pfund und das ist es wirklich jeden Cent äh Pfund wert....:-) PS: Haltet nach dem rosa TOK TOK #4 Ausschau ...;-).
From the club to the marina, to the different beaches - Zeytona Beach, Buzzha Beach, Mangroovy Beach up to the new 6-star Hotel La Maison Bleu. Passed the university in El Gouna, the Ancient Sands Golf Resort, a local café and finally got back to the club. You pay 150 Egyptian pounds per hour and that's really worth every pound . PS: Look for the pink TOK TOK # 4 ... ;-).
SLIDERS CABLE PARK EL GOUNA
Wer absolut nicht auf Wasser und Board verzichten kann, der sollte unbedingt im Sliders Cable Park El Gouna vorbeischauen. Dort wartet einer der weltweit größten Cable Parks mit olympischem Standard, umgeben von Beach Club, Restaurants, Pools etc. - ein kleines Resort im Resort sozusagen. Special Events und sogar Meisterschaften sind hier an der Tagesordnung. Leider hat die Zeit hierfür nicht ausgereicht, daher gibt es keine Fotos von dieser Location. Aber beim nächsten Besuch steht das definitiv auf der Liste..;-).
If you absolutely can not live without water and board, you should definitely stop by at the Sliders Cable Park El Gouna. There is one of the world's largest cable parks with olympic standard, surrounded by a beach club, restaurants, pools, etc. - a small resort in the resort with a lot of special events and even championships take place in this park. Unfortunately, the time was not enough to visit the park. But at my next visit it is definitely on the list .. ;-).
WASSERSPORTAKTIVITÄTEN - WATER SPORTS
Neben Kitesurfen gibt es ja noch jede Menge andere Wassersportaktivitäten, die super ohne Wind funktionieren..:-). Standup Paddeln ist hoch im Kommen und die Osmosis Kiteboarding Station verleiht natürlich Boards. Damit kann man super am Strand oder in den Lagunen entlang SUPen und die Gegend erkunden Genauso ist das mit dem Kayak möglich, die auch dort ausgeliehen werden können. Schnorcheln mit Delphinen, Tauchen, Segeln, Katamaran - die Liste ist schier unendlich und man braucht wahrscheinlich ein halbes Jahr, bis einem in El Gouna langweilig wird. Es gibt viel zu tun ..hahahaha
In addition to kite surfing, there are still plenty of other water sports activities that work great without wind .. :-). Standup paddling is one of them and at the Osmosis Kiteboarding Station you can rent a board. It is great to explore the beach or the water ways in El Gouna. Same is possible with the kayak, which can also be rented. Snorkeling with dolphins, scuba diving, sailing, catamaran - the list is endless and you probably need half a year to try all possible activities. There is a lot to do ..:-)

Abenteuer, Staub und jede Menge PS - das versprechen die motorisierten Touren in die Wüste. Wer einen halben Tag Zeit hat und sich traut, der sollte unbedingt eine Quad - oder Motocross-Tour buchen. Die Touren werden zentral von den Hotels angeboten und können in jedem Hotel an der Rezeption gebucht werden.
Adventure, dust and lots of horsepower - that's what the motorized tours in the desert promise. If you have half a day, you should definitely book a quad or motocross tour. The tours are offered by the hotels and can be booked in any hotel at the reception.

El Gouna ist ein Paradis für Golfer, denn es gibt hier sagenhafte zwei Golfplätze - ein 18-Loch-Championship-Kurs direkt gegenüber vom Labranda Club Paradiso. Dort kann man das ganze Jahr über unter Palmen und mit Blick auf die Berge und das Meer Golf spielen. Ob für Profis, ambitionierte Hobbygolfer oder Anfänger - der Platz ist ein Traum.

Am 2016 eröffneten luxuriösen Ancient Sands Resort gibt es einen weiteren 9-Loch-Golfkurs der nicht weniger schön ist. Auf einer Anhöhe gebaut hat man einen Panoramablick auf das Rote Meer. Auch hier gibt es mehrmals in der Woche Schnupperkurse und Familienangebote.
Opened in 2016, the luxurious Ancient Sands Resort has another 9-hole golf course that is no less beautiful. Built on a hill you have a panonamic view of the Red Sea. Again, there are trial courses and family offers several times a week.

Essen ist ja bekanntlich auch eine Aktivität, die man machen kann.;-). Und El Gouna hat sich etwas Einmaliges einfallen lassen, um die maximale kulinarische "Ausbeute" zu erzielen..;-)...
Eat is also an activity you can do. ;-). And El Gouna has come up with something unique to achieve the maximum culinary "yield" ..; -) ..

Alle Gäste, die Halb- oder Vollpension oder All Inclusive gebucht haben können in ihrem Urlaub in teilnehmenden Partnerhotels oder -restaurants auswärts essen gehen. Wie cool ist das denn. Es gibt einige Regeln, die man beachten muss, die aber nicht weiter tragisch sind. So werden Getränke immer extra bezahlt. Gäste von 5-Sterne-Hotels können in allen teilnehmenden Hotels an den Buffets essen. Gäste von 3 oder 4 Sterne Hotels zahlen einen geringen Aufschlag, wenn sie im 5 Sterne Hotel essen möchten (€ 5 sind wohl zu verschmerzen ...;-)...). In den à la carte Restaurants bekommt man eine Ermäßigung auf seine Bestellung. Je nach Aufenthaltsdauer kann man einmal, dreimal oder sogar viermal auswärts speisen.
All guests who have booked half or full board or all inclusive can go out to eat at participating partner hotels or restaurants during their holiday without paying extra. How cool is that. There are a few rules to follow, but they are not tragic...:-) So drinks are always paid extra. Guests of 5-star hotels can eat in all participating hotel buffets. Guests of 3 or 4 star hotels pay a small extra charge if they want to eat in the 5 star hotel (€ 5 are probably to get over ... ;-). .). At the a la carte restaurants you are getting a discount on your order. Depending on length of stay you can dine out once, three times or even four times.

SONNENUNTERGANG AUF DEM GOLF TOWER - SUNSET AT GOLF TOWER
Wer Sonnenuntergänge so liebt wie ich, der sollte sich unbedingt den Sonnenuntergang mit Blick auf die Berge und den Golfplatz vom Golf Tower aus anschauen. Direkt gegenüber vom Labranda Club Paradiso kann jeder auf den Tower und am Abend die Aussicht genießen.
If you are a sunset lover like me, you should absolutely visit the Golf Tower for sunset with view to the mountains and the golf course. The Tower ist directly across from the Labranda Club Paradiso and everybody can enjoy the amazing panoramic view .
OASIS NIGHT
Wer mal einen traditionellen ägyptischen Abend ausserhalb des Hotels erleben möchte, der sollte sich für die OASIS Night entscheiden. Nahe den Bergen von El Gouna in einem traditionellen Beduinenzelt wird typische ägyptische Küche serviert und bei Shisha und dem traditionellen Teppich-Tanz kann man den Abend ausklingen lassen.
If you want to experience a traditional Egyptian evening outside of the hotel, you should go for the OASIS Night. Typical Egyptian cuisine is served near the mountains of El Gouna in a traditional Bedouin tent and the evening is accompanied with shisha and a traditional carpet and belly dancing.
FAZIT - SUMMARY
El Gouna hat mich echt überrascht - hier kann man neben Relax- und Strandurlaub wirklich Abenteuerurlaub machen ob jung oder alt - es wird nicht langweilig. Ob Familie, Pärchen, Aktiv-Urlauber, Sportler, Kitesurfer, Wasserratten - El Gouna macht alle glücklich. Das Resort aus der Retorte überrascht durch seine Vielfältigkeit in vielerlei Hinsicht - Sportangebot, Hotels, Essen. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder - denn es gibt noch viel zu entdecken...:-)
El Gouna really surprised me - it is a place to relax at the beach but also for adventure holiday whether you are young or old - you will never get bored. Whether family, couples, active vacationers, athletes, kitesurfers, water rats - El Gouna makes everyone happy. The resort from the retort surprised by its diversity in many ways - sports, hotels, food. I will definitely be back - because there is still so much to explore... :-)
